We pray something good will come from Ricky's death.

This is a page dedicated to Sister Rosemary's son Richard Thomas Knox ("Ricky").
He was into drugs, alcohol and Rock and Roll. A very dangerous combination.
We share a little about his life and artwork.
We hope and pray the sad lessons of his life will somehow help others.

If you need help or are feeling suicidal,
please call 1-800 SUICIDE.
Thank you!

Drugs & Alcohol prevents potential, wastes talents, and destroys lives.

Ricky's Christmas Banner.
He did this with color pencils one Christmas season.
At the time Ricky was between 10 & 12 years of age.
From the best Sister Rosemary remembers.

1985
Ricky at our wedding April 20,1985.
Come to find out years later, he told us
he was high at our wedding......
High at his very own mother's wedding!!

Ricky gave this artwork he did, to his Mom (Sister Rosemary).
It was a few years before he passed away.

Drugs and Rock music took his life over.

Ricky couldn't hold down a steady job.
He lived with his girlfriend, the mother of his children.
At one point Ricky even questioned if his mother was really his mother.
Nothing wrong with adoption but yes she gave birth to him and raised him.
He once told us, if it wasn't for Rock music and pot, he would have to go on stronger drugs
(that he had used in the past). We think he probably did anyway.
Unfortunately, as a result of drugs & rock music most of his drawings were occultic.
(Wizards, dragons, skeletons and other demonic style artwork)
Because of our testimony and life he knew better then to give those style of pictures to us.
He also liked to do tatoos.
I have noticed most (not all) tatoos have to do with lust and/or occultic darkness
especially those tatoos that are more elaborate.

A short time before he died.
We think this picture is probably sometime in the last year of his life.
Ricky was 30 when his life ended.

There is hope in Jesus Christ!
If you do not know Jesus Christ and have not had a personal powerful
life-changing experience in and through Jesus Christ, it is not too late
to ask Jesus to help you and give you meaning in life as well as victory over sin.

Believe upon Him, recognize that Jesus died on the Cross for our sins,
that His Blood cleanses you of all your sin,
that He resurrected and is alive praying in Heaven for you.
Repent of your sins, and begin your new joyous journey living for Jesus.
We all had to come to God by the way of the Cross of Jesus Christ
and repenting of our sins.

If you are already saved, Praise God for that and live your life to glorify God.
Perhaps by living a life to glorify God, you will be able to lead someone to
Jesus and prevent another tragedy.

Trauma. Chaos. Instability. These are all problems associated with a dysfunctional family.
Addiction. False Responsibility. Guilt. These are all reactions to the dysfunction.
Whether you are an addict or an enabler in a cycle of codependency. There is hope.
In a book entitled, I AM - The God Who Heals,
Kathleen Delia Rogers takes you on a journey from tragedy to triumph,
and helps you to find the way out of your suffering.

Drug Rehab Options & Addiction Treatment
Drug Rehab Options offers information and resources on drug addiction treatment and mental health issues. Extensive directory of helpful information and articles on choosing the right rehab program.

Within the webrings and within the Drug Rehab Options site
there are probably a variety of sites with different philosophies.
We are not endorsing every philosophy represented in the webrings links
nor are we endorsing every link on the Drug Rehab optoins pages
though most of them are probably fine
but offer them as resources for you or those you know.
(not enough time for me to check out all of those sites and links)
